Notifications & alerts

Nadigit IMS keeps you informed of the important events in your business, both in the app and, if you wish, through external channels (email, Telegram, WhatsApp).

In-app notifications

The bell icon at the top of the screen flags new notifications. You'll find notably:

  • low-stock and out-of-stock alerts;
  • upcoming batch expiries;
  • various reminders and system messages.

Open a notification to see the detail, or delete the ones you've handled.

Notification preferences

From My account → Notification preferences, each user manages their push notifications (alerts on the device).

Note

Email notifications are managed by the administrator (they aren't set individually): the admin enables email sending and defines its settings.

Sending channels (administrators)

Channels are configured in System Settings → Global settings, Integrations tab, Channels & alerts section: one tile per channel. This is reserved for administrators.

Email (SMTP)

The Email Configuration defines the SMTP settings used to send emails and notifications. It's the first channel to configure if you want email alerts.

Telegram

Telegram notifications send the same admin alerts as email, via a (free) Telegram bot:

  1. Create a bot with @BotFather and copy the provided token.
  2. Send a message to your bot, then retrieve your chat id.
  3. In Nadigit IMS, paste the token and add one or more chat ids (user, group, or @channel for a public channel).
Token security

The bot token is stored on the server and no longer shown after saving. Keep it confidential; regenerate it with BotFather if in doubt.

WhatsApp

A WhatsApp channel can also be configured to receive alerts. The exact settings depend on your WhatsApp provider.

Retention

Notifications are kept for a configurable number of days (notification retention days), after which they are cleaned up automatically to keep only what matters.

Tip

Configure at least one external channel (email or Telegram) to be warned of stock-outs and expiries even when you're not logged in to the app.
