Organization: warehouses & shops
Nadigit IMS tracks your stock by warehouse and your sales by shop. This lets you know exactly where your goods are and where they are sold.
At installation, the system automatically creates a default warehouse ("Main Warehouse") and a default shop ("Main Store"), already fitted with a cash register, for the first organization: just rename them for your business. An organization added later starts without a warehouse or a shop: create them as described below. Adding more warehouses or shops requires the Business plan or above.
My Company
The Organization → My Company page holds your company information (identity, contact details, general settings). It's the starting point of configuration.
Warehouses
A warehouse is a storage location. The stock of each item is tracked per warehouse.
- Open Organization → Sites → Warehouses to view and rename your warehouse.
- With the Business plan or above, you can add more (reserve, secondary depot…).
Shops
A shop (point of sale) is where sales happen, in particular through the point of sale (POS).
- Open Organization → Sites → Shops to view and rename your shop (adding more shops requires the Business+ plan).
- Each shop automatically gets its cash register, visible in Finance → Treasury → Cash Registers.
- A shop is not linked to a warehouse: on the till screen, the seller chooses the shop and the warehouse the goods come from.
See Preparing the opening of a new point of sale.
Warehouse transfers
When you move goods from one warehouse to another, record a transfer so stock stays accurate on both sides.
- Open Inventory → Warehouse Transfers, then New.
- Choose the source warehouse and the destination warehouse.
- Add the items and quantities to transfer.
- Confirm: stock is deducted from the source and added to the destination.
Without a recorded transfer, one warehouse would look falsely low and another falsely high. Transfers keep your stock levels reliable.
